Since I hate whiskey this drink is definitely on the top of the hot alcoholic winter drinks list. It’s really easy to make and since the batter is just mainly butter it lasts a pretty long time in the fridge and even longer in the freezer.

For those coming in directly, here is a link to the recipe for the orange and chocolate biscotti in the background.

  1. I made this a few years ago and added a spoonful of the batter to hot chocolate and it was amazingly good. A nice option if you don’t want to drink rum.

  2. That sounds interesting. I’d also read somewhere that you could add the batter to hot apple cider which sounds pretty good. I’d also assume that you could do this with whiskey to have a little twist on the hot toddy.

  3. Wow, sounds great!

  4. That’s mind bogglingly simple. Since my cooking skills are like nil, this would be ideal for me:D

  6. Oh wow, this looks great. I didn’t realize hot buttered rum was so simple!

  8. How interesting. Can’t remember where I’ve read about this drink before, but I’ve always wondered about the taste. Biscotti looks awesome too by the way.
